Young people are the future of the Theatrical Arts. That's why Off Broad Street Players enthusiastically supports the interests and efforts of our youth through our excellent programs designed specifically for kids.

Looking Glass Theatre for Children offers productions for young people that are fun, educational, and supportive. Kids learn many of the skills involved in performance arts, and are mentored by our fabulous staff of professional educators.

Summer Children's Theatre Workshop

Our Children's Theatre Workshop, led by award-winning director, Walter Webster, is an incredible 3-week summer experience, and gives kids first-hand opportunities in acting, writing, and music. This camp inspires kids in their creative process while raising students' performance standards to achieve theatrical excellence.

2009 Dates: June 29 - July 23, Monday through Thursday. 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Taking place in the month of July, workshops in the morning include music, writing, and drama. The afternoon is spent rehearsing for a musical production. The 3-week Theatre Camp will be held at the Buckshutem School in Bridgeton and is open to ages 8 to 18. Only $175 per child! Auditions for the musical portion usually take place on days one and two of camp. The camp is designed to build confidence, poise, positive body image, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment in a safe and supportive environment.

Students are expected to bring a bag lunch. Those participating in the workshop receive a commemorative t-shirt.
